Variety description

The variety is a bud mutation of the Top Red variety and differs from it by more vigorous growth. The tree has a spur-type bearing habit. Harvest in South African conditions occurs at the end of March, at the same time as the original variety.

The fruits are medium-sized and have a spherical shape. The ground color of the skin is green-yellow, the overcolor is an intense dark red covering 95–100% of the fruit surface. Russeting is absent, lenticels are not prominent.

The taste characteristics correspond to the Red Delicious group, the flesh texture is crisp. The variety possesses good keeping quality during storage. The yield level is characterized as medium.
