The variety is a regional variant from Oldenburger Münsterland and is not genetically related to the Borsdorfer variety group. The tree has a broad, tall crown with loose branching and medium vigor; when grown on its own roots, it can reach 10 meters in height.

The fruits are medium-sized, round or conical in shape, with a greenish-yellow ground color and a dark red blush, often with russeting at the stalk. The flesh is firm, coarse-grained, juicy, with a sweet-sour taste and a subtle aroma. It is a winter variety; harvest maturity occurs in mid-October, and consumption maturity lasts from December to March.

The variety is distinguished by its reliability and low tendency to biennial bearing; however, it has moderate susceptibility to scab, powdery mildew, and fire blight. The fruits are suitable for both fresh consumption and processing, including the production of juices, compotes, and culinary products.
