The Rubens tree is medium-sized, has a spreading crown, and is characterized by early onset of fruiting. The variety is characterized by high and regular yields. Harvesting is carried out 7–25 days after the Gala variety.

The fruits are medium-sized and have a regular truncated-conical shape. The coloration consists of a yellow-green primary background and a bright purple-red or orange-red striped blush. The juicy flesh of the fruits has a pronounced crunchy structure, a balanced sweet-and-sour taste, and aromatic notes. The fruits are characterized by good keeping quality and transportability.
