The variety is autumn-maturing; harvest usually falls at the end of September. The fruits are large, pink, and prone to developing physiological disorders in the form of brown depressions on the skin during storage.

The tree is distinguished by a crown that is difficult to shape and low yields; fruits often set at the tips of shoots. The variety is susceptible to scab Venturia inaequalis.
