The variety is late-winter; fruit harvesting is carried out in early October. Apples have good keeping quality, remaining stored until March and longer; however, during storage, they may be susceptible to skin browning. In warm summer conditions, fruit quality is rated as high.

The tree is characterized by vigorous growth, and the crown is prone to becoming bare. Thinning of ovaries is a mandatory agrotechnical practice; otherwise, fruiting becomes biennial and fruits become smaller. The variety shows resistance to some types of rot but requires control of scab spread.

The variety is actively used in breeding as source material for creating new varieties of Latvian breeding possessing a complex of economically valuable traits, including high yield and a compact growth type.
