The variety is an autumn one, ripening from the end of September to October. The tree is characterized as vigorous, with height depending on the rootstock type and crown formation. The variety is known for its hardiness and high resistance to scab and Monilia.
The fruits are medium to large in size and have a flat-round shape. The primary skin color is greenish-yellow, often complemented by orange-red stripes or speckles. The flesh is juicy, sweet-and-sour, with a delicate aroma, and becomes tender upon full ripening.
The variety has a versatile use: it is suitable for fresh consumption and for various types of processing, including the preparation of purees, mousses, and marmalades. Historically, the variety was also known under the names Cloetta and Mignon.
