Harvest maturity of the fruits occurs in the first half of October, consumer maturity by November–December. The variety is triploid and is practically not grown on an industrial scale, being preserved mainly as part of gene bank collections.
The plant is sensitive to apple scab, while exhibiting resistance to powdery mildew and high resistance to apple canker. The fruits have an average visual appeal and are characterized by a very high susceptibility to impact damage.
The flesh of the apples is moderately juicy, with an average degree of sweetness and acidity, but with a specific unpleasant aftertaste. Scientific studies of the juice of this variety note its bitter taste and high level of polyphenol content.
