The variety belongs to the category of specialized cider apples and is included in the Protected Designation of Origin 'Sidra de Asturias' program. Fruits are medium to large in size, have a greenish-yellow skin with red or pink stripes, and are classified as semi-acidic in terms of flavor profile.

The tree is characterized by very high vigor, precocity, and high yields with a tendency towards biennial bearing. The variety features late flowering and fruit ripening in the second to third ten-day period of October.

The plant possesses good overall disease resistance, in particular showing low susceptibility to scab, powdery mildew, and European canker. In commercial orcharding, it is often cultivated on semi-dwarfing rootstocks.
