The variety was bred at the Kecskemét College from open-pollinated seedlings of the "Idared" variety. Breeding work was conducted under the leadership of Dr. Miklós Szabó.

Belongs to the summer variety category. Fruit harvesting occurs at the end of August. The produce is suitable for fresh consumption and for the production of concentrates.
