The tree is characterized by vigorous growth and early onset of bearing. Flowering is prolonged, and the crown has a broad-spherical shape. The variety is demanding regarding soil fertility and site conditions; on wet sites it shows a susceptibility to canker, and in damp locations it can be affected by scab.

Fruits are medium to large in size, flat-spherical or truncate-conical in shape. The skin is rough, often covered with bronze-gray russeting. The flesh is yellowish-white, firm and juicy, possessing a sweet taste with slight acidity and a spicy aroma. Harvest maturity occurs in September-October.

The variety is for general use, suitable both for fresh consumption and for various types of processing, including the production of juices, baking, and fruit wines. Upon ripening, fruits may drop, especially under conditions of moisture deficit.
