The variety is a descendant of the McIntosh and Golden Delicious varieties. The tree is characterized as moderately vigorous, moderately precocious, and productive. Timely fruit thinning is required to obtain optimal fruit size.

Small to medium-sized fruits have a green ground color with a red blush and prominent stripes. The flesh is aromatic, sweet, with a tart undertone. The variety is versatile in use: it is suitable for fresh consumption, culinary purposes, baking, and the production of juices or cider.

The variety is prone to short storage life. The fruits are sensitive to mechanical damage during harvesting, such as bruising or punctures from the stem, which requires careful handling.
