The tree is characterized by medium vigor, forming a rounded or semi-spreading crown 3–5 meters high. Fruits have a conical or cylindrical shape, smooth waxy skin of yellow color with a dark red blush, and white flesh of a specific texture. The variety is precocious but prone to biennial bearing in the absence of fruit thinning.
Harvesting takes place in October. The variety possesses relative resistance to scab and good tolerance of early spring frosts by flowers. It is self-sterile and requires pollinator trees blooming at an early stage. There is a form, Geneva Tremlett's Bitter, belonging to the group of bitter-astringent varieties.
