The variety is traditional for Galicia, Spain, and is often considered in the context of genetic diversity conservation. The tree is characterized by a high level of vigor and an upright crown shape. The start of the growing season is April 9, and flowering begins on May 1.
The fruits are large, flat-round in shape, and yellow with a pale blush. The skin is smooth, covered with a waxy bloom, and weakly susceptible to russeting. The flesh is white, of intermediate density and texture. In micropropagation studies, difficulties with in vitro shoot rooting were noted.
