The tree is vigorous, forming a broad and well-branched crown, reaching a height of 3–5 meters. The variety is characterized by a tendency towards alternate bearing. Data on disease resistance is contradictory: a number of descriptions note susceptibility to scab, powdery mildew, and fire blight.

The fruits are medium to large in size, with an oblate or conical shape. The skin becomes bright lemon-yellow upon ripening, sometimes with a reddish blush. The flesh is yellowish-white, juicy, with a texture ranging from fine-grained to loose.

Harvesting takes place in October; consumption maturity occurs in the period from December to March or April. The fruits store well, although physiological disorders such as flesh browning or spotting are possible during prolonged storage in cool conditions.
