The variety is a late-winter type; the fruits ripen in October and can be stored until April. The tree is characterized by high vigor. The variety is not self-fertile and requires the presence of pollinator trees.

The fruits are large, yellow in color with a carmine-red striped blush, and have greenish-white, juicy flesh with a sweet taste and slight acidity. The variety possesses high winter hardiness down to -30°C and resistance to major diseases.

The variety is used both fresh and for processing, including cider production, drying, and baking. In scientific literature, the variety is used as an indicator for the diagnosis of apple viral diseases.
