The fruits of the variety are small to medium in size, round-conical in shape, and often exhibit slight ribbing. The thick yellow skin is almost entirely covered with a dark burgundy blush, sometimes complemented by stripes. The yellowish flesh is juicy, has a crisp texture, and a characteristic sharp taste with a wine-like aroma.

The tree has moderate vigor and blooms later than many other late varieties. Due to its triploidy, the variety requires external pollinators. It is characterized by stable annual bearing, but requires fruit thinning to avoid crop overload.

The variety is late-maturing; fruits ripen by October and have high storage capacity, retaining their quality for up to six months. Resistance to diseases, such as powdery mildew, is rated as moderate.
