The tree reaches a height of less than 6 meters and has a wide, spreading crown. The flowering is distinguished by an abundance of bright pink semi-double flowers, consisting of 5–9 petals, which bloom later than most other varieties.
The fruits are very small, less than 1 cm in diameter, yellow-orange in color, and are produced in small quantities. The plant is intended exclusively for decorative purposes and is sometimes used as a pollinator variety in orchards.
