The plant reaches a height of 5–8 meters with a crown diameter of 4–6 meters. Leaves are oblong-ovate, 5–10 cm in length, coarsely serrate-dentate along the margin, often with lobes. Autumn foliage color varies from scarlet-orange to orange-red.
Flowers are 4–5 cm in diameter, semi-double or double, pinkish-white in color, with a pronounced fragrance; flowering is late. Fruits are small, up to 3–4 cm in diameter, yellowish-green, waxy and shiny, persisting on the branches for a long time.
The variety is used for landscaping. It is characterized by good winter hardiness and drought tolerance, and tolerates pruning. Susceptibility to fire blight and rust is noted.
