The Mark rootstock is dwarfing; trees on it reach approximately 25% of the size of vigorous trees. In terms of growth vigor, it occupies an intermediate position between M.9 and M.26. The plants possess good anchorage, exceeding M.9 in this indicator, yet they often require the installation of supports.
This rootstock is characterized by high productivity and precocity, and does not produce root suckers. The rootstock is sensitive to drought conditions. In terms of susceptibility to fire blight and woolly apple aphid, it is similar to M.9.
