The tree reaches a height of about 5 meters, has an oval or broadly oval crown, and often forms multiple trunks. The leaves are narrow, 7–8 cm long, resembling peach foliage in appearance. Flowering is abundant and occurs in April: the flowers are simple, white, about 4 cm in diameter, with pale pink buds.
The fruits are decorative, small, about 2 cm in diameter, and bright red in color. The plant is characterized by high winter hardiness (zones 4–5), resistance to wind, and the ability to adapt to various permeable soil types. The fruits persist on the branches until February and are not a food product.
