The GRC1 hybrid is part of the GRC1–GRC8 series created for research needs. It is not a commercial variety and is not intended for widespread industrial use.
The plant is used by scientists as a subject for studying physiological responses to abiotic stresses, such as drought and nutrient deficiency. In experiments, GRC1 is classified as one of the most drought-sensitive hybrids of this series.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
