Variety description

The variety is a natural sport of Miscanthus and reaches a height of 90–120 cm. The plant forms a neat upright clump with narrow green leaves adorned with pronounced horizontal yellow stripes that maintain their color throughout the season.

Panicle inflorescences in reddish-purple or pinkish-white shades appear in late summer. As they mature, they lighten to a silvery-beige color and remain decorative during the winter period.

The variety possesses winter hardiness in USDA zones 5–9, is resistant to lodging, and is also resistant to browsing by deer and rabbits. It is used for solitary and group plantings, creating borders, hedges, and for cultivation in containers.
