Variety description

The plant forms upright clumps, reaching a height of 180–210 cm during the flowering period. The leaves are thin, green during the growing season, and acquire a characteristic red-orange or burgundy hue with the onset of autumn cold.
Flowering occurs in late summer, in September–October. Silvery-white panicles rise above the foliage, eventually acquiring a creamy-brown hue. The variety is a warm-season grass, characterized by drought tolerance after establishment and resistance to deer damage.
The plant is used as a decorative crop for landscaping, including the creation of specimen plantings, mass plantings, and borders. The variety was obtained as a result of open pollination when crossing the Rotsilber and Yakushima Dwarf varieties.
