The variety «Spektr» is a product of breeding work by specialists of the Transcarpathian State Agricultural Experimental Station. Information about this variety is found in scientific publications devoted to issues of breeding, seed production, and the productivity of tobacco crops.

Available materials record yield indicators of 2.4 t/ha and quality characteristics of the product, according to which 75% of the dry leaf belong to high-grade varieties. Detailed morphological descriptions of the plant and information on disease resistance in the public domain are absent.
