Variety description

The plant has a cone-shaped form and reaches a height of 1.6–1.65 m. The leaves are sessile, broadly oval or oval-round in shape with a wide base, light green in color; 24–28 technical leaves of medium size 50×26 cm are formed on one plant. The flowers are pink.

The variety is mid-late, the period from planting to flowering is about 84 days. The yield of dry leaf reaches 25.6 c/ha, the output of the highest commercial grades is 72%. It possesses resistance to the main tobacco diseases and is adapted to variable weather conditions.

The variety was bred by the method of step-by-step crossing of the varieties «Собольческий 193», «Юбилейный 8» and «Вирджиния америк. Закарпатье». During shade-curing, the leaf acquires a yellow-brown or golden hue. The raw material is characterized by high strength, a nutty taste with a hint of acidity, and requires mandatory fermentation.
