The variety belongs to the Herzegovinian type of tobacco, traditionally used for the production of cut tobacco. It was developed by the Tobacco Institute in Mostar as part of breeding work to develop the varietal composition of the region.

Detailed agronomic characteristics of the variety, including plant height, maturity group, and disease resistance, are not presented in open sources. It is known that the variety was tested in the territory of Herzegovina in parallel with the hybrid Svijetla Hercegovina 2.
