Variety description

The variety has high growth vigor, reaching 5–10 meters in height. It has a pronounced vertical crown shape, resembling a cypress, for which it received the alternative name «Cipressino». The leaves are narrow, lanceolate, and dark grey-green. The fruits are ovoid in shape, about 2 cm in size, and change color from dark green to black.
The plant is of dual purpose, suitable for oil production with a yield of 15–17% and for use as table olives. The variety is self-infertile and requires pollinators such as Frantoio, Leccino, or Pendolino. It begins bearing fruit from the 3rd year, with the harvest ripening in November.
The tree is resistant to salty winds and capable of withstanding frosts down to -6…-10°C. It exhibits high resistance to infection by the fungus Cycloconium oleaginum. In cultivation, it is often used for creating windbreaks and hedges that require regular spring pruning.
