The variety belongs to early-maturing forms that ripen faster than a number of standard varieties. The grain has a characteristic brownish-red color and requires husking to obtain millet used for food purposes.

According to historical agrotechnical descriptions, the variety is demanding of soils and develops most effectively on light soils. Within the framework of scientific testing of collection samples, resistance indicators to head smut were recorded at a 60% infestation level.
