The variety is early-maturing, with heading usually occurring around May 20. Plant height varies from 62.3 to 116.1 cm depending on growing conditions. The variety is characterized by good frost resistance, drought tolerance, and resistance to major diseases.
Productivity is 65–80 t/ha of green mass, 16–20 t/ha of dry matter, and 700–800 kg/ha of seeds. Product quality is rated as having average feed value. The crop is used both in pure stands and in mixtures with legumes, as well as on degraded areas for soil restoration.
