The variety is intended for establishing pastures, harvesting hay and silage, and can also be used as a crop for biomass and pulp and paper fiber production. A distinctive feature is the practical absence of tryptamine and carboline alkaloids, as well as a reduced gramine content.
The plant possesses good seed productivity and the ability to adapt to various soil types, except for highly drying sandy soils. Under favorable conditions, the stand height can exceed 1.8 meters. The variety is characterized by good winter hardiness but is less resistant to intensive grazing and frequent mowing than wild forms.
