The plant is perennial, bunch-type, with short rhizomes and a high degree of leafiness. The variety possesses pronounced drought tolerance and increased resistance to leaf diseases compared to other cool-season grasses. The plant adapts to soils with a pH level below 6.0.
The quality of the variety's produce is optimal until the appearance of seed heads, after which it declines. Due to the low alkaloid content, the variety has increased forage value. The crop is used for hay production, silage, livestock grazing, and soil erosion control.
