Variety description

10 August 2026

The tree of this variety is distinguished by high growth vigor and a spreading crown shape. The variety is characterized by moderate to weak alternate bearing and a lower requirement for winter chilling hours, amounting to approximately 600–700 hours, which allows it to be cultivated in Mediterranean coastal conditions.

The fruits of the variety have an oval shape and a somewhat smaller size compared to large-fruited varieties. The nut shell is colored red-purple, and the kernel has a greenish-yellow shade. Shell dehiscence occurs on the dorsal and ventral sides. The variety is a subject of genetic research as part of the Syrian gene pool.
