The variety BATOURY (also known as El-Batoury or White Batoury) was obtained through the selection of local landraces. It is an early-flowering plant whose trees begin to bear fruit relatively early after grafting. The variety is considered highly productive, while the vigor of the trees varies depending on growing conditions.

The fruits of the variety are characterized by a large size and a whitish shade of the shell. To ensure effective pollination of the trees of this variety, the presence of male specimens is necessary; in particular, the variety Randy is recommended as a pollinator. The fruits are suitable for fresh consumption, roasting, and use in the confectionery industry.
