Variety description

10 August 2026

The Golden Hills tree has a compact structure with a high amount of fruiting wood and a branch angle of 80–90 degrees. The variety is characterized by low chilling requirements, which ensures uniform bud break, flowering, and fruit maturation.

Fruits mature 2–4 weeks earlier than the traditional Kerman variety, which reduces the risk of damage by the navel orangeworm pest. The produce is noted for a high percentage of split edible nuts and uniform ripening. Pollination requires the selection of male varieties with matching flowering periods.
