The Knut variety is used in agronomic research and practice in Norway as a component of temporary and semi-permanent pastures and hayfields. It is intended for use in grass mixtures including legumes and grasses, and is suitable for both mowing and grazing.

In comparative trials, the variety demonstrates a good ability to cover the soil, reaching an indicator of 67% three years after sowing. Specific data on plant morphology or detailed indicators of disease resistance are absent in the publications.
