Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is a hybrid of Poa pratensis and Poa arachnifera, also known by the experimental number HB 128. The plant is intended for the creation of professional turf, sports fields, and golf courses, and is often used in seed mixtures to increase wear resistance and sod density.

The plant possesses increased resistance to summer heat and drought, demonstrates good survival under partial shading conditions, and the ability for rapid recovery after stress periods. Morphologically, it is characterized by a medium leaf width and aggressive rhizome growth, ensuring rapid formation of ground cover.

The variety demonstrates resistance to brown patch. The hybrid was developed to expand the cultivation zone of bluegrasses toward more southern regions, where common varieties of Poa pratensis experience suppression due to high temperatures.
