The peach-almond hybrid is a vigorous rootstock with high growth energy. It demonstrates good adaptability to various soil types, including poor ones, and possesses high tolerance to active calcium up to 11 percent, which effectively prevents the development of chlorosis.
The plant tolerates drought conditions well, but is not recommended for sites with water stagnation or heavy soils. The rootstock has some resistance to Agrobacterium, but is susceptible to nematodes, Phytophthora, and Armillaria. Trees grafted onto it show high productivity and good compatibility.
Propagation of the rootstock is difficult when using hardwood cuttings, so preference is given to the in vitro micropropagation method. During nursery cultivation, it is prone to forming root suckers, which require control.
