The plant is a vigorous rootstock with an upright habit and characteristic red leaves. Its purpose is to ensure the viability of fruit crops in Mediterranean conditions, particularly on soils with high alkalinity.
The rootstock demonstrates high resistance to root-knot nematodes and drought, as well as tolerance to lime-induced chlorosis. However, it is sensitive to waterlogged soil. Trees grafted onto it are characterized by early entry into fruit bearing, high yield, and good compatibility.
