It is an interspecific hybrid of almond and peach intended for grafting stone fruit crops. Trees on this rootstock are characterized by vigorous growth and the ability to enter fruit-bearing early.
The rootstock adapts well to rocky and dry soils with a high lime content and is resistant to iron chlorosis. At the same time, it is sensitive to waterlogging, heavy soils, bacterial canker, root rots, and certain types of nematodes.
Propagation by traditional cuttings is difficult, therefore the in vitro micropropagation method is used on an industrial scale. When using this rootstock, an influence on the fruit coloration of certain varieties may be observed.
