The variety is a hybrid of almond and peach, used primarily as a rootstock for almond, peach, nectarine, plum, and cherry plum. The tree is characterized as large, vigorous, with an upright or vase-shaped crown, densely foliated, with large, thin, smooth leaves of a medium green color. The root system is deep and developed, with straight, evenly spreading roots.
The plant is resistant to root-knot nematodes and moderately resistant to Phytophthora. It is sensitive to crown gall and Verticillium wilt. The rootstock tolerates drought and saline soils well, but does not tolerate waterlogging and calcareous soils. It is propagated vegetatively by hardwood cuttings and by the in vitro micropropagation method.
