The tree of this variety has medium vigor, forming a spreading crown with upright branches. The medium-sized leaves are obovate in shape. Flowering is intensive and mid-late; the variety is self-fertile.
Small fruits of elongated asymmetrical shape are covered with cream-white skin with a diffused red blush. The flesh is white, sweet, low-acid, and has a fine texture. The stone is semi-freestone. The harvest matures in June.
The variety is considered ancient, is known in the province of Bari under several local names, and is considered an early variation of the Cibo del paradiso variety. The variety is included in the lists of genetic resources at risk of extinction and is preserved as part of agrobiodiversity.
