The variety is classified as mid-season; harvest in New Zealand conditions occurs in the second half of January. Fruits are distinguished by their large size, golden skin color, and firm flesh.

Due to their firm structure, the fruits are suitable for dessert use and processing, in particular for canning. The variety is grown in New Zealand nurseries and orchards, including for pick-your-own harvest operations.
