The variety is traditional to the Emilia-Romagna region. The fruits have a small size, juicy flesh, and velvety skin. The harvest is used for fresh consumption, as well as for making jams and juices.
The plant is sensitive to late spring frosts and does not tolerate sites with stagnant moisture. When grown in suitable conditions, the variety exhibits resistance to diseases. Due to the small size of the fruits, it has no industrial significance.
