ActivePrunus avium (L.) L. · Sweet cherry
David W.Cain
10 August 2026
The tree of this variety is medium-sized, forms a dense rounded crown, and begins to bear fruit in the 4–5th year after planting. The fruits have a flat-round shape and turn a dark red, almost black color upon ripening. The fruit flesh is of medium density and is distinguished by a harmonious sweet-and-sour taste.
The variety is intended for industrial and table use. The fruits are suitable for transportation and are universal in application. The variety shows high resistance to drought and certain fungal diseases, however, the fruits are prone to cracking under excessive moisture during the ripening period. To obtain a stable yield, pollinator varieties such as «Гедельфинген», «Наполеон» or «Выставочная» are required.
