CILIEGIA DA SPIRITO is not a single breeding variety, but represents a group of local forms originating from the Piedmont region, Italy. Plants of this type are characterized by high growth vigor and an upright crown type.

The fruits have a heart shape, medium or large size, and a short peduncle. The flesh is characterized by medium or low juiciness. A characteristic feature of the group is the very early maturity, which distinguishes them from other large-fruited varieties of the Graffioni type.
