The variety was obtained by crossing Kordia and Starking Hardy Giant. The tree is characterized by medium growth vigor and a widely spreading crown, and is noted for its high precocity and yield. The variety is self-incompatible; for cross-pollination, the varieties Tamara, Early Korvik, Fabiola, and Jacinta are recommended.
Fruits ripen in the mid-early period, approximately 8 days before the Kordia variety. The berries are large, weighing 9–10 g and measuring about 27 mm in diameter; they have dark-red skin and medium-firm flesh. The flavor is juicy, sweet-and-sour, and the stone is small. The fruits are distinguished by their resistance to cracking.
The variety is intended for fresh consumption and commercial production, including organic farming. On dwarfing rootstocks, regular pruning is required to maintain high yield quality.
