The tree is vigorous, forming a large and powerful crown that requires regular formative pruning. The variety belongs to the late-maturing group; fruits ripen in the period from late June to early July.
Fruits are medium-large, weighing about 5.5–7 g, and have a slightly elongated, heart-shaped or ovoid shape. The skin turns dark burgundy, almost black, upon ripening. The flesh is firm, with a harmonious sweet-sour taste and a spicy wine aroma.
The variety is self-sterile and requires pollinators that bloom at similar times. The crop is characterized by good winter hardiness down to -20°C. The fruits are suitable for both fresh consumption and industrial processing.
