The variety is a vigorous or medium-sized tree with a spreading, dense crown, capable of reaching a height from 4.5 to 10 meters. The fruit ripening period falls between late June and July. The variety is characterized by good winter hardiness, withstanding frosts down to -25 °C, and thanks to late flowering, it often avoids spring frosts.

The fruits are large, weighing from 8 to 12 g, have a round-heart shape and an almost black color upon full maturity. The flesh is dark red, firm, "cartilaginous," with a sweet taste and a possible almond aftertaste. The variety has satisfactory disease resistance and is relatively resistant to fruit cracking during precipitation.

The plant is self-infertile; to obtain a yield, it requires the presence of pollinator varieties that flower at similar times. The fruits are versatile in use, suitable for fresh consumption, canning, freezing, and preparing various homemade preserves.
