The tree reaches a height of 4–6 meters and has an ovoid, upright crown. Leaves are elliptical, 10–15 cm long with a serrated margin. Flowering occurs in April–May; flowers are white and fragrant.

Fruits are large, obtuse-heart shaped, yellow-red in color with a reddish tint on the sunny side. The flesh is firm, juicy, sweet with a hint of acidity. The crop ripens in mid-to-late June.

The variety is self-sterile and needs pollinators. The plant is frost-hardy but sensitive to late spring frosts. It prefers fertile, moist, calcareous, and well-drained soils.
