The variety belongs to the very early maturity group, ripening approximately 10 days earlier than the Rainier variety. Trees have moderate vigor and are self-incompatible (S1S6 type). Good compatibility is noted when grafted onto Mazzard and Prunus mahaleb seedling rootstocks.
Fruits have a flat-round shape and dark red skin color. Their size is 28–29 mm, flesh firmness is high, and sugar content on the Brix scale is at least 17.5º. The variety is characterized by fruit resistance to cracking during rainfall and to the formation of doubles under high temperature conditions.
